Incorporation of Mieco Wood Products Sdn Bhd in Malaysia. MIECO awarded product excellence by Malaysian Government for Moisture Resistant Grade.

Incorporation of Mieco Marketing Pte Ltd in Singapore.

1990
Commission of Production Line 2 in Semambu (Kuantan), Pahang, Malaysia.
1991
Incorporation of Mieco Wood Resources Sdn Bhd in Malaysia.
1992
Investment of RM 12 million in Melamine Impregrenation Line. Achieved to produce board that meet the E2 grade for Formaldehyde Level. First manufacturer in Southeast Asia to produce 9mm and 12mm E1 Grade Particle Board.
1993
Commission of Short Cycle Press (SCP) for melamine faced chipboard production. Official signing on the investment of RM 156 million for the production of Line 3, Gebeng, Kuantan, Malaysia, the largest single Chipboard plant in Asia, using leading technology from Siempelkamp.
1995
Commissioning of Line 3, Gebeng, Kuantan, Malaysia.

1997
Announcement of proposal listing. Expansion into downstream manufacturing division with the the production of a downstream factory, Direct Post Forming line, Laminate Flooring production line and an semi-automated Kotatsu assemble line. Incorporation of Mieco Smallholders Sdn Bhd in Malaysia
1998
Listing of MIECO on the Main Board of Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE). Accreditation of ISO 9002 Quality Management System towards Continuous Improvement. Awarded PWTC FMM Trade Fair – Best Designed Booth.
1999
Launching of Representative Office in Guangzhou, China.
2000
Incorporation of Mieco International (H.K.) Limited in Hong Kong.

2001
Grand groundbreaking ceremony at Gebeng (Kuantan), Pahang, Malaysia officiated by Tengku Mahkota of Pahang Tengku Abdullah Sultan Shah and Menteri Besar Pahang. Launching of 5S program.
2002
Upgraded from ISO 9002:2000 Quality Management System to ISO 9001 : 2000. Successfully produced E0 grade low formaldehyde emission chipboard which comply to the JIS A 5908 standard.
2003
Commissioning of Line 4, Kechau Tui (Kuala Lipis), Pahang, Malaysia with leading technology from Dieffenbacher. Commercialised production of Super E0 particleboard as F-4 Star Grade in Japan.
2004
Accreditation of BS EN ISO14001:1996.
2005
Third plant in Kechau Tui, Kuala Lipis – accreditation of BS EN ISO 9001:2000 & MS ISO9001:2000. Accreditation of OHSAS Health Safety Management System 18001:1999. Official inaugration of Line 4, Kechau Tui (Kuala Lipis), Pahang officiated by DPM, YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Abd. Razak. Joint Venture agreement with Mtushita Electrical Works Ltd, Japan to undertake research and production of KENAF Fibreboard. Award NPC National 5S Award from National Productivity Corporation, Kuala Lumpur.

2007
Upgraded from BS EN ISO14001:1996 to BS EN ISO14001:2004.
2008
Accreditation of CARB II Certificate of Conformity (California Air Resources Board) for low formaldehyde emission boards. First JIS Mark A5908:2005 accredited by GBRC, Japan at both MIECO Gebeng and Kuala Lipis plant.
2009
Accreditation of ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management system by AJA EQS Certification, an integration from single ISO to Integration of ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007. Accreditation of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System. Upgraded from BS EN ISO 9001:2000 & MS ISO9001:2000 to QMS ISO 9001:2008. Accreditation of PEFC-COC ST 2002:2010 (Programme for Endorsement of Forest-Chain of Custody) Standard.

2016
Certified with MyHijau.
2017
Accredited with US EPA TSCA Title V1 compliance certificate of Conformity.
2018
Upgraded from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
2019
Attained JIS Mark A5908:2010 (Japanese Industrial Standard accredited by JQA, Japan. Upgraded from OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System to ISO 45001:2018. Upgraded ISO 14001:2004 to ISO 14001:2015.
2021
Certified with Malaysian Phytosanitary Certification Scheme by Department of Agriculture Malaysia (MPCA).
2022
Transitioned from PEFC-COC ST2002:2010 to PEFC-COC ST2002:2020.
2023
Awarded for the Malaysian Timber Board Industry (MTIB) Green and Innovative Products of Wood and Timber Industries by the Minister of Commodities.
